Hyundai has just relaunched the all new Hyundai Elantra Fluidic
(Hyundai Avante in South Korea) with price range of 13 to 15 lakh. You
would have two options to choose from, One petrol and one diesel. It has
all new interiors and Exteriors.
Huge space inside, steering embedded music controls, seat cooling
system, classic dashboard. New elantra gives option for passenger to
choose different settings for climate controls. Everything is changed
inside and outside since old Elantra.
Diesel engine is downgraded to 1.6 litre common rail diesel engine,
turbo charged, compared to 2.0 litre in previous generation. But new
engine is more efficient, producing more power and more torque (126bhp
and 260Nm).
On the other hand, Petrol engine is same 1.8 litre petrol engine,
producing same power and torque (150bhp and 178Nm) comparing with
previous generation. But it is expected to be lot more efficient and lot
more refined. There would be two options in transmission, 6-speed
automatic and 6-speed manual transmission.
Price of new 2012 Hyundai Elantra is 13 to 15 lakh in India.
