Honda Brio Diesel Launch Date : Price India

Honda is all set to launch its first diesel car in India. Honda has been spotted testing Diesel Brio on highways. Honda has planned to launch Diesel Brio in 2013, but seeing the demand for diesel cars after petrol price hike, it will launch Diesel Brio in this Diwali.

Honda Brio Diesel Launch Date : Price India

Price of Brio Diesel is not declared yet, but as the petrol Brio cost around 5.3 lakh on road, Diesel variant would cost 1.2 to 1.5 lakh more, that is 6.5 lakh to 6.8 lakh for top end variant.
Mileage of Honda Brio Petrol is 15 kmpl on highways [we just had a trip of 1000 km in Brio], we could expect anything around 20-22 kmpl for Diesel Brio.

Also, government is planning extra duty on diesel car to reduce the production of diesel cars and ultimately reducing diesel consumption. Imposed tax would break down the market for both petrol and diesel cars, as diesel car would cost even more [it is already costlier by 1.5 to 2 lakh compared to petrol variant] and petrol prices are too high.

The good news is that Honda has started producing Diesel engine cars. Many Honda lovers would be expecting this since long back. Upcoming launch would include diesel variants for Honda Jazz, Honda City, Honda Civic, Honda Accord and Honda CRV. [We hope that!]
